PSYCHO PATH HAUNTED ATTRACTION
Outdoor Multi-Attraction Experience | Sperry, OK
event SUMMARY
Psycho Path Haunted Attraction is one of Oklahoma’s most iconic and longest-running haunted experiences. Tucked away in the woods just outside of Tulsa in Sperry, Oklahoma, Psycho Path is not your average haunted house. Psycho Path features two main attractions. The Shadow Box, a more traditional walk-though style haunt and the Dark Ride. The Dark Ride is an original outdoor haunted ride that takes you deep into the woods on what they coin, a “Scareage”. If you’re looking for a unique haunted experience that feels like Oklahoma’s own horror movie set, this is it.

FULL EVENT DESCRIPTION
If you want a Tulsa-area haunt that combines a staged horror experience with real Oklahoma woods, Psycho Path Haunted Attraction is a strong pick. Located in Sperry, about 10 minutes north of Tulsa, it takes place on a wooded property where the setting does a lot of the work. The main attraction is The Dark Ride, a nearly mile-long trip through the forest that lasts around 20 minutes and moves you through multiple scenes along the trail. You ride in a custom-built “Scareage” vehicle made for Psycho Path, and it runs quieter than a typical tractor-pulled wagon.
The Dark Ride also has a simple rule that changes how it feels: once it starts, you cannot get off. There are no stops or shortcuts, so you ride the full route from start to finish. Psycho Path encourages groups to plan around the vehicle capacity (up to 10 guests per vehicle) and to use online or timed entry so the loading process stays steady and the line keeps moving.
The second attraction is The Shadow Box, an indoor walk-through haunted house listed at 4,160 sq. ft. It focuses more on tight spaces, scene changes, and actor interactions than a long outdoor route. Expect a faster pace than the ride, with rooms built around lighting, sound, and live performers to keep the experience active from start to exit.
EVENT HISTORY
Psycho Path Haunted Attraction is a family-built haunt in Sperry that has operated since 2005. It is led by owner Victor Marquez and shaped by the Marquez family’s ongoing involvement in building and running the event each season. The earliest widely cited timeline connects to the documentary Psychopath, directed by Manny Marquez, which identifies 2005 as the first year of filming and documents the attraction’s early development as it got established.
From the start, Psycho Path has centered on a wooded, scene-based experience rather than a standard field hayride format. Its signature attraction, The Dark Ride, takes guests on a route through the forest in custom-built “Scareage” vehicles. Psycho Path highlights these vehicles as quieter than typical tractor-pulled wagons, and Victor Marquez is credited with their design for the attraction.
As the event expanded, Psycho Path added The Shadow Box to create a two-attraction night. The Shadow Box is an indoor walk-through haunted house listed at 4,160 square feet, giving guests a second format alongside the outdoor ride. Today, Psycho Path is still promoted as a two-attraction destination featuring The Dark Ride and The Shadow Box, which has helped it remain one of the more established haunted attractions in the Tulsa area.
